Public Hearing with the Committee on Legislation on the progress of Kosovo institutions in the fight against corruption

On 7 December 2016, Group for Legal and Political Studies (GLPS), Çohu and Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI), on behalf of the CSO Coalition of the “Anti-Corruption Week”, supported by the U.S. Embassy in Prishtina, organised a Public Hearing with the Committee on Legislation. This event was organised in close cooperation with the parliamentary Committee with the aim of discussing the progress of Kosovo institutions in the fight against corruption. In order to inform the Committee for the ongoing activities and results achieved by the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA), this meeting was attended by Mr. Shaip Havolli, Director of the ACA. Among other, the participants discussed about the concrete steps that the Agency is undertaking, challenges, inter-institutional cooperation and possible mechanisms for further improvement towards fight against corruption. This event was attended by all Members of the Committee on Legislation, representatives from the U.S. Embassy in Kosovo, civil society organisations and media.

Part of the CSO Coalition ‘Anti-Corruption Week’ #Bashkeendreqim! are: Kosovo Law Institute (KLI), Çohu, Democracy Plus (D+), Group for Legal and Political Studies (GLPS), Institute GAP and Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI).
