GLPS Policy Criticisms Incorporated into Kosovo’s Assembly Report

January 22, 2013

On 13 December 2012, in a regular plenary session, the  Assembly of Kosovo approved a monitoring report proposed by the Foreign Affairs Commission explicitly drawing on the GLPS Policy Analysis on the Foreign Affairs Service Legislation. The monitoring report approved by the Assembly binds the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the duty to reform the legislation on foreign service and to introduce protection mechanisms that build upon a career-oriented foreign service. The policy criticisms and the policy solutions adopted by the Assembly have been  designed by GLPS and explicitly included in the monitoring report of the parliamentary Commission on Foreign Affairs. GLPS will continue to support the depoliticization and professional development of Kosovo’s Foreign Service. The adopted monitoring report of the Assembly could be accessed by clicking here, whereas the transcript of the Foreign Affairs Commission relating to the adoption of the GLPS policy solutions could be accessed by clicking here.
