GLPS held a Press Conference to present the analysis of the Draft Law on the Duties, Responsibilities and Competences of the State Delegation in the Dialogue Process

January 14, 2019

On 14th of January 2019, Group for Legal and Political Studies (GLPS) held a press conference during which our Research Fellow, Perparim Kryeziu, presented an analysis of the Draft Law on the Duties, Responsibilities and Competences of the State Delegation in the Dialogue Process together with the conclusions from the newly published policy note on the dialogue titled “A Final Agreement that may put Kosovo at a cross road: Some lessons from other former contested states”.

Based on the analysis of the draft law in subject, GLPS asserts that the role of the State Delegation is rather limited and advocates in favor of the principle role that the Assembly should have during this process. Secondly, during this press conference GLPS also argued about dooming effects that discussion and inclusion of border revision in an ultimate agreement will have to Kosovo’s statehood. Such conclusions were based on lessons learnt from particular case studies that were subject of the policy note’s scope of discussion.
